Welcome,
I am running in Delta Richmond East with no affiliation and officially now on the ballot
My name is John ” Shrek ” Shavluk and I have been political for many many years and elections.
In previous elections I have told voters….
“ That the most prescribed drug to Canadian children is Ritalin and that if you instead smoked it …it would then have to be called Crystal Meth as they are virtually identical “
I also said this…..
” There has never ever been a prison ever built on this planet that illegal drugs have NOT BEEN FOUND IN …so how then will we really keep them out of schools and really how many more millions of dollars will that take ? hmmm”
Its time for the “” Common Sense “” political Party
Yes it is.
Its way over due as these days with less than 1 % of the public actually involved directly as members in these political parties our views are being over looked on purpose for those of the party machine.
Even if our local candidate disagrees with the party policy he or she pledges their allegiance to the party and not to those whom elected them in the first place!
I think that is wrong and again I will try to educate my neighbours and fellow citizens by standing up and pointing out the obvious flaws in our system.
And remind them of the abuses parties hope slide away.
Stacked Senates and misrepresentation about tax payer funds is all we get after obvious lies about being fair.
Lets face it if we want to help the political situation you leave the per vote subsidy and instead remove the tax deductibility of donations and the kick backs parties get from tax payers if they get over 10 % of the vote
There is the real cost to tax payers and the 2 dollars given a party per vote is minuscule compared to what the main players all get now with tax breaks and refunds.
There are many many examples I as the Common Sense candidate can give you.
For example?
I am completely shocked that not one politician is bringing up Japan and what just happened there and what can and needs to be done here because of the same exact risks.
We are not prepared for a possible earth quake and its resulting destruction.
No new state of the art fighter jet or new jail will help my neighbours in that situation
Why are neither any politicians nor their party concerned?
I will change that with a plan.
And speaking of these items above I want to say again its time for common sense.
I am a combat arms trained veteran of Canada’s Armed Forces and I guess I need to point out the obvious if these so called party appointed leaders will not.
It has been reported that the real cost of these fighter jets will be closer to 35 Billion Dollars or 75 Million Dollars each yet the Americans themselves peg it at around 150 Million Dollars each…something is fishy especially when you consider any like me know they themselves are shifting away from fighter jets and replacing them with unmanned Drones.
I also want to point out that the Americans already sell 100 thousand dollar rockets that can in fact just shoot these planes down!!
So for the price of one jet we could actually get …and of course I am thinking of only defensive purposes and not aggression like whom ever ordered these jets when I say as a Canadian who believes in our former Peace Keeping role instead of what we have today as junior GI’s …well…we can get approximately 1500 rockets per plane or a mere 350 thousand rockets to actually protect our country and selves for 35 BILLION DOLLARS
All it takes is common sense
Next we have 13 billion dollars for new jails yet crime rates have been decreasing for 15 years steadily and Harper and his team are saying it’s actually needed for “”unreported crimes”".
Unreported crime means cannabis crime to the common sense party as no other target in crime exists with that much potential. we all know they do not care about white collar crime or crimes they themselves commit so I stand by my view.
Third and I think it’s a very big one.
Why is no party calling for your rights and abilities to vote as easily as possible?
Should not democracy be very important to them?
For example Canada leads the world with Internet concentration at 68 % according to Media yet you hear no party calling for the right to vote on line.
No ideas to make it easier and try to recoup the 42 % who did not vote last election.
You can file and pay your taxes on line in fact do all your private banking completely secure.
You can pay other bills and even your government utilities to those same governments who should be allowing a vote on line
And you can even create crimes that would hold up in a court of law based on the on line activity that can’t even really be erased.
Yet no voting on line is allowed nor even mentioned by these so called democratic political leaders.
Do you know why?
I will tell you why…..IT IS SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU WOULD!!
THAT’S WHY YOU CAN NOT!!
I am sorry it is time for “” Common Sense”" !!
It is time for representing those who actually VOTED FOR YOU ….Mr Politician!!
Its time for a pledging of allegiances to the voters and not to the Parties with their hidden agendas!!
In the mean time people are actually being spoon fed by the TV adds financing media operations as Harper spent half a Billion Dollars just over the last year telling you all Ignatief was just a flake.
Twenty six Million of our own TAX PAYER DOLLARS, just last month was in fact wasted for a plan already OVER and expired the Action Plan.
Please help me to restore Common Sense in Delta Richmond East BC and create the Common Sense party Nation wide if need be to reclaim our power to govern our selves and more importantly protect our interests and not those of some Ottawa boys club…..Shall we?? !!
Thank you fellow Citizens of Delta Richmond East !

INDEPENDENTS
Do YOU want to know the History of Independents and how they took OUR POWER AS A VOTER ??
http://independentcandidates.ca/blog…ree-democracy/
In The Beginning There Were Independents …
Sit down. Read the Constitution of Canada. Read the Charter of Rights. You will not find a single mention of a political party. You will find references to elections and the right to vote.
Canada has a “Westminster style” parliamentary democracy. This means that when Canadians vote they are electing a parliament. Each of Canada’s 308 (and counting) ridings has the right to elect a member to represent that riding in the House of Commons. In the early days all MPs were Independents. Their duty was to the riding that elected them.
Conclusion: Independent candidates are not members of voting coalitions and do not depend on funds from the taxpayers of Canada.
Independents were followed by Unregistered Political Parties
Political parties have always been “voting coalitions”. The purpose of Parliament is (as you well know) to make laws. But, laws were the result of MPs voting on the merits of legislation. It was natural for those Independent MPs to seek alliances with other “like minded” MPs. Eventually these voting collations received names. These names were things like “Conservative”, “Liberal”, etc. It was not until 1970 the Canada Elections Act was amended so that:
Political parties (voting alliances) were formally recognized and;
The Political affiliation of a candidate could be shown on the ballot.
The Canada Elections Act defines a political party as:
“an organization one of whose fundamental purposes is to participate in public affairs by endorsing one or more of its members as candidates and supporting their election.”
There no requirement that a political party register with Elections Canada. The existence of a party is not dependent on registration. Forming and registering a federal political party are two different things. There is no legislation regulating the formation of federal political parties.
Conclusion: Unregistered political parties are voting alliances that have not taken the step of registering with Elections Canada. They do not have any of the benefits that are given to registered political parties. Unregistered parties are voting coalitions that are NOT regulated by Elections Canada. Unregistered parties do not receive the same benefits from the taxpayers that registered parties have.
The Next Step – The Birth of The Registered Political Party – A Tax On Democracy
In 1974, the Canada Elections Act was amended to allow political parties to register with Elections Canada. Why would a political party do this? Why deal with the Elections Canada bureaucracy? One of the answers is money. Only registered political parties have a right to have their parties funded by the taxpayers of Canada. The taxpayers of Canada fund the Liberals, Conservatives, Bloc, NDP and Green Party (among others). You may know that the registered parties receive $1.95 for each vote that one of their candidates receives in an election.
This taxpayer subsidy is of vital importance to registered parties. In December of 2008 the Conservative Government of Stephen Harper introduced legislation which would have removed this subsidy from the registered parties. The Liberals, NDP and Bloc were not pleased. It took the threat of the removal of their $1.95 subsidy to prompt them to replace the government. A coalition was formed which almost had the effect of bring the government down and installing a coalition government. Clearly the primary benefit to registering a political party is – surprise (who could have known) – money from the taxpayers.
(This post is updated on August 18/09: Green Party candidate, Adriana Mugnatto-Hamu, in a post titled “Defend Per-Vote Funding” wrote a rather good account of the number of different ways in which the taxpayers of Canada fund the political parties. Tom Flanagan recently wrote an argument in favor of abolishing “Per Vote Funding”. You should read both perspectives on this issue.)
It is one thing to form “voting alliances” and call it a party. It is quite another to take the next step of getting the people of Canada to pay for your party.
Conclusion: Registered political parties are voting coalitions that are a tax on the citizens of Canada. Furthermore, the primary registered parties require MPs to vote along party lines without regard to the interests of the riding.

And just for some back ground
This was taken from here………..

I was framed and convicted for a crime, I in fact, did not commit in 1991 -1993 and it resulted in me being jailed as a 2 count convicted drug trafficker, for a total of 8.5 grams of cannabis.
I had been, previously, a city council election candidate and openly voiced my opinion on a range of subjects most noticeably what I thought about blatant abuse of Saskatchewan natives and their continued marginalization and belittlement.
I thought it was ridiculous to be still happening in the twentieth century and at that time the Stonechild case hadn’t spread the word we Canadians all eventually heard about (the abandoning of natives to freeze out side of the city by Saskatoon police).
Well, I knew then that their lives were impacted by blatant racism and abuse.
I personally watched Saskatoon police on two separate occasions beat certain individuals.
Sadly on one occasion was while I myself was behind bars for one of their shake downs. I watched this man through my bars, be dragged down the hallway right in
front of me as 2 police each beat him with batons and kicked him. I sadly realized I had recognized him from high-school.
Earlier I had witnessed 2 Saskatoon police officers jump out of their car, right in front of the YMCA in Saskatoon, on a Saturday morning, just to beat the crap out of a guy by the name of Ray Ross.
I stood there and watched them as they cuffed him, beat him and threw him in the back of the car, then drove away with him bleeding.
I ended up framed; I didn’t see my children for 2 years, lost millions of dollars, 43 rental properties, comprised of apartment blocks, heritage sites and houses. I also had a restaurant and night club that was lost as it was being adversely effected by the ongoing character assassination perpetrated against me by the police with my banks even being accessed without any of my knowledge.
The police then used one of my tenants, who they had caught for breaking into 70 different homes, and gave him his freedom if he could make sure I was caught doing something wrong, anything.
I did hear in court that police officers (at that time) had made over 5 thousand dollars just trying to catch me. They described me as a criminal master mind because I had never been caught. They tapped my entire basement floor of my house after my arrest looking for a floor safe or hidden anything.
I stood in court and explained that the simple fact that they were unsuccessful was because I wasn’t doing anything and in fact was really guilty of no crime.
They finally had this fellow badger me for 2 weeks, by with holding his rent for what was now 2 months as he tried to get one of my associates to sell him some cannabis.
That friend turned out to be the city’s TV station owners son and he, certainly at 50 years old, was not what the police were after. There is a much longer story here but suffice to say they found cannabis at his house, none at mine and the audio tapes were lost when he sold the pot.
I said in court there was nothing wrong with cannabis and went to jail for the whole mess.
I didn’t see my kids for 2 years, I lost millions of dollars, hundreds of thousands of tax payer dollars were wasted in the courts and all because of a guy broke into 70 family’s houses and created 250 thousand dollars worth of insurance claims. He walked away and was given a union job in southern Ontario where he later was killed.
All this happened over 8.5 grams of cannabis plucked a week before the set up from a single 6ft plant in a downtown high-rise condo in Vancouver from a millionaire architect friend and given as a gift to the guy that ended up selling it in my home in the guise of helping one of my tenants.
While I was in jail the main police officer who set up my take down (out of jealousy over money and women) was charged with raping little children in Martinsville, Saskatchewan (John Papowich 1993).
After my release I gave away (to one kind soul who had visited me all the time as I waited for jail) my one remaining asset (a triplex house) and planned on leaving the country because I had by that point wanted to just die. I was robbed of my life for over 2 years then and I didn’t want to ever come back to such a corrupt country.
My brother asked me to help him with his company in Victoria, while I waited for an ex-employee and friend to leave Canada with me and go to Costa Rica.
While I tried to work for my brother (made him a lot of money but lived in crushing agony) and waited, I met a wonderful woman named Marie, who, in hindsight, really saved my life. She nursed me back to saneness by allowing me to stay at home and build our home (a boat that we lived on at the same time, this is another story).
I thought and thought and thought.
It took years of piecing small details and different things together just to figure out what happened to me.
As an entity to stand up to hypocrisy, I realized I had a voice.
And I will use it

It’s important to educate people about what’s really going on, says John Shavluk, the North Delta resident who’s the only independent candidate in the Delta-Richmond East federal election race.
Shavluk is not a newcomer to campaigning, having previously run for the Green and Marijuana parties, and has demonstrated throughout this election he’s not reluctant to make colourful as well as poignant comments on the current party system and political scene.
He says his outspoken nature and willingness to let people know the truth has got him in hot water before, including a wrongful conviction for marijuana possession when he lived in Saskatchewan as well as being falsely accused of making anti-Semitic comments on a blog that resulted in his fallout with the Green Party.
Shavluk, however, says he decided to continue in the political arena, if for nothing else than to help open the public’s eyes on the questionable behaviour and misdeeds of the parties and Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
“To me, how it applies to Delta and what we should be doing, somebody has to stand up and speak out what’s going on and right now we’re not being represented.”
As far as running as an independent, Shavluk says candidates belonging to parties are required to vote along party lines, even if it means that vote is contrary to the wishes of their constituents.
“We have to get back to representing the people that elect us. I believe we make our local issues important, not somebody’s Texas agenda, turning Canada back into a junior GI country.
“I can’t turn a blind eye to the corruption, the injustice and the pain that I’ve witnessed because I’ve stood up.”
Calling himself a human rights activist, Shavluk says he began on a political path in 1983 after witnessing blatant racism and abuse. He says his political leanings, though, can be described as a Red Tory, a Joe Clark Conservative.
As far as outgoing MP John Cummins, Shavluk asks, “Being in the party, show me what he got us here? They’re railroading Gateway through us. Look at the container traffic that’s going through here. Nobody is talking about an electric rail system to move these things out of here.
“Don’t get me wrong, I like John, but he was basically muzzled and shoved to the backbench. He would have got us some attention had he been an independent.”
At the recent all-candidates meeting co-sponsored by the Delta Optimist and Delta Chamber of Commerce, Shavluk said nothing has been done about utilizing the Fraser River to generate cheap electricity or have cars converted to less expensive natural gas.
He says there are millions of natural gas cars in other countries but oil companies forced the Canadian government to drop natural gas initiatives.
“What’s going on is a crime against all of us and somebody has to stand up.”
Shavluk also hasn’t been guarded when it comes to speaking on such issues as fighter jets and jail construction.
On his website, Shavluk calls for the creation of what can be referred to as the Common Sense Party.

(Last Election and above you can see the twitter page with Harper from sept 4 2008))
So obviously with the phony and cowardly anti Semitic attack that I traced all the way to PM Harper it seems I am reaching people or at least making the ones afraid of my message think I am reaching you… the voters and those I am seeking to work for.
Please check out some of my debate footage and check back as we are adding things right now.
I wasted a lot of money on my Green campaign so I cant do any splashy money and tree wasting mail box stuffers and I ask you to see the real truth and really consider my work and what I have tried to do here for 17 years…… please?
I will be transferring more things here and things I believe may be helpful in your decision.
I know we will be better represented in Ottawa by myself as an independent and I use Mr Chuck Cadman with all due respect as my example to prove it!
None of my opponents have my experience or skills.
What mine provide is exactly what Ottawa requires
I pledge to do my very best to serve you
